ELK LEATHER JACKET
We are selling special Native American jackets.
This is a leather jacket made by the Nez Perce tribe around the late 1920s.
The leather is probably elk (or thick deer).
Its supple, thick, suede-like texture was so impressive that I initially mistook it for fabric.
Native American leather jackets are generally decorated with beads, but this particular jacket is an extremely valuable piece, featuring embroidery from the period just before the transition to beadwork, which can be considered an earlier stage.
Jackets with this kind of embroidery existed from the late 1920s to the 1930s.
I heard that these were made as souvenirs or for sale at exhibitions and other events at the time.
An embroidered jacket that you can wear without worrying about beads easily falling off is very fashionable.
And it's an extremely rare, larger size that can be worn by adult men.
It's in mint condition thanks to miraculous storage conditions.
From a wearability standpoint, I think it's special in this category.
Don't miss this opportunity, please consider it.
