BRITISH ARMY
WW2 WAR AID HBT JACKET
These are a very small number of herringbone jackets that the US military issued to the British military as part of a war aid program.
It's the familiar American HBT fabric, but the sleeves, shoulders, and other details are completely different.
Epaulets / Missing shoulder pads / Sleeve cuffs / Internal gas flap / Two-tone pockets with gussets on one side only / Slits on both sides of the hem
The distinctive loop on the back is apparently designed to be used to secure the shirt with the straps of your pants when tucked in.
The sleeve stitching is also different; while the similar M-43 has the sleeve shaft attached horizontally from the armhole, this one has it attached at a gentle angle, like a jacket.
This jacket is a very elaborate piece and is quite rare.
Don't miss this opportunity, please consider it.
