I think it's what's known as "Okinawa-made" from the Vietnam War era.

Fully decorated
Red devils and bulldogs, etc.
The quality of the embroidery is also impeccable.

The body is made from a repurposed poncho liner.
It comes with a lining, which is a nice feature for the wearer.
The collar lining has zigzag stitching.
The pocket lining is made of the same fabric as the main lining.

The difference in fabric at the opening is an accidental accent.
